One of the most visionary authors of the 20th Century, George Orwell foretold a chilling, dystopian future in his 1949 novel 1984.

In this ambitious, electrifying film, acclaimed director Raoul Peck (I Am Not Your Negro) channels Orwell’s prescient text into a powerful, cinematic reflection on our times.

Exploring Orwell’s life and the development of his last, and arguably most important, novel, Peck delves deep into the author’s final months to understand the future he prophesised. Pairing his original diary entries with contemporary footage, Peck amplifies the power of Orwell’s words in today’s world.

The preview screening on Wednesday 25th March will be followed by an in-person Q&A with director Raoul Peck.
